so it's been an eventful weekend. it's always great to not have to work on saturdays. what did i do with my day off? got a story bout it, wannahearit? hearitgo
i saw in jarro'd journal that they were gonna go to athens that day, so i asked if he had seats left. they did and i occupied one. we got there, and it was raining, and it's summer, so there weren't many people out. we went down into hoffa's music first, and perused there for a while. jarrod got the godspeed you black emperor! double vinyl...i'm sorry that i didn't get it. i got meatloaf's "bat out of hell", the police's "ghosts in the machine", and the alman brother's band "greatest recordings" which is not so much a greatest hits as it is the band's fav songs.
while i'm thinking about it, kara got 3 stars tattooed on her wrist and i think it looks like shit, but that's why i don't advocate going to Lost Tribe. there's a reason you don't need an appointment there.
anywho, so we just kinda went down main street after that. i got a doors live cd, which kicks and i also got another police album. i'm too lazy to go over an check what it is right now. also a bumper sticker that says "don't pray in my school/i won't think in your church" :) i find it clever. my parents probly will not.
so we got back and i went to dinner with my family over at my uncle's house. i was peer pressured, by my own brother in law mind you, to go get a beer out of the cooler. so i did, duh. well i hadn't eaten in a while, and i drank it fast, cuz i kinda like rolling rock. well 1 became two, and baker became kinda tipsy...in front of my family this is not good. they are a pack of wolves and anything if fair game to be made fun of. i shudder to think of that night jenna sent me to them with a copyright symbol on my neck. anywho, i ate and it was nice to chat with family who i don't see as much as i'd like, even though i skipped the reunion the next day ;)
well i went over to jarrod's to listen to his godspeed vinyl. andy was there and we popped that shit in. well halfway through the second side we got the idea to try and watch Fern Gully and listen to Godspeed. it didn't really work, but tim curry's character was pretty creepy cuz he always had intro music that was equally creepy.
fast forward to when i get home at 1 and katie is online. i ask her if she wants to do something and she says she guesses so. i let her drive my car around north hills for a while. you're getting better katie. we ended up watching Super Troopers at my house. god that movie is so funny. EEEEEvil Schenanigans! so we made plans to go visit the pile of rubble that is Desales now the next morning.
after we were both sufficiently showered we went and it was depressing as fuck. i got pics, they'll be up soon. :( then we split a blizzard and i took her home and went to work.
frisbee afterwards was pretty entertaining and bobby's house after THAT was equally satisfying. especially after watching the bare wench project, getting lectured by his dad on why not to get tattooes and watching the original planet of the apes. not in that order.
there's noone on talking now so i think i'ma go to bed.
