ok, fuck this area's weather system. we were having a good run of 65-70 degree weather last week, but noooo. come yesterday it's humid and hot. and it's only about 85 so far. my blood is too thick for the air here. i have never been able to properly describe myself in this climate.
had a history exam today, and despite the prof's attempt to trick us with different essays than the ones he told us to study for, i made it my bitch. what i would do without cate to study with i just don't know. probly fail.
so today i went to the library fully intent to actually study stoicism. i've been stumbling around in the dark, if you will, with a vague idea of what i'm doing, but i get the feeling that i'm fucking it up somehow. perhaps it's jsut cuz i'm an evil and immoral man, but who knows? so i get to the vienna one, and not surprisingly, they have nothing. so i go to the big wood county one. well...all i could find searching stoicism, marcus aurelius, epictetus, etc was some halfassed book about aurelius and christianity all the way in calhoun county...about an hour or so away. perhaps more. fuckat. so i checked out "the gnostic gospels" know thy enemy, know thyself eh? unfortuantly i was about 20 pages in and those 4 hours of sleep i didn't get caught up with me, aided by the heat and the boredom, and knocked me the fuck out. i would say i was out for a couple of hours perhaps. till my mom came in and said that i had gotten a package. w00t. it was my "pretty girls make graves" cd. which fucking rocks, as i knew it would. i just wish it wasn't so short, only 9 songs, but well worth it.
so i'm going to athens for 4/20. pity i'm only going there for a show, but who knows? :) it will be one doozy of a rockfest too. i can't wait to see pankration again, they rock so fucking hard. well, it's time to go to bed before the heat overwhelms me and i pass out onto my keyboard, leaving waffle shaped bruises all over my forehead...once was enough for that, thank you very much.
